The romantic subgenre in a new form and deals with the issues that Mormons face, such as how they fit in the modern world and people predjudices against them. LDS Romantic fiction often embrases other subgenres, such as fantasy and paranormal romances, historic romance and romanitic comedies.

The Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer has been a major literary success, for its elements of the supernatural and romance, especially with women.
