Something for all lovers of romance.

With the success of the Twilight novels a spotlight has been shone on LDS Romantic fiction. It is so named as it is either written Mormons or deals with Mormon themes (LDS stand for Latter Day Saints). The romantic subgenre is a new form, which covers many styles from Historic romance, modern love, to fantasy and paranormal romance. As it deals with moral topics it is a great place to start if you want a little old fashioned romance in you stories.

Painting Kisses by Melanie Jacobson

Lia Carswell has escaped her artistic life in New York and thinks she’s settled into life as a waitress in a Salt Lake City diner. Hoping to help out her financially strapped sister, she attracts the attention of many eligible bachelors who enter the diner. But fate has a way of intruding in and she is commissioned to paint a series of paintings which would help gain the financial security of her family. Is she willing to let her old life in or make a new life her in Salt Lake City. Taking on her final project she finds part of what she’s lost, and opens the door to a new life. Melanie Jacobson writes romantic comedies in LDS romance for Covenant Books and is known for the witty dialogue of her characters.  This is a departure from her more light-hearted books and as it deals with issue of a person’s past catching up with them.
